Statement From Chief Bob

On behalf of Millbrook First Nation,

We acknowledge the recent arrest and charges laid by the Nova Scotia RCMP against Dawn Ellis-Abbott for the theft of funds that rightfully belong to our community. We are pleased to see that steps are being taken towards a resolution and that Ms. Ellis-Abbott will be held responsible. Our community remains committed to ensuring that justice is served and that the appropriate measures are taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. We would like to thank the RCMP for their work on the investigation.
