L'nu Kamakn Ski and Snowboard Program 2025
The L’nu Kamakn Ski & Snowboard program runs annually from January to March, welcoming participants from all eight mainland Mi’kmaw communities. This program fosters physical activity, skill-building, and community connection through skiing and snowboarding. For ages 12-18.
For 2025, the program features two participation streams and a Community Leader Program, offering tailored opportunities to accommodate various skill levels and interests.
• Stream 1: Lesson-Based Program provides season passes, equipment rentals, structured lessons, and meal cards, creating a comprehensive and supportive environment for skill development.
• Stream 2: No Lessons Program offers season passes, rentals, and meal cards, providing flexibility for independent participants who want to enjoy the slopes at their own pace.
• Stream 3: Community Leader Program engages volunteers aged out of the lesson-based program. Leaders assist youth participants on the hill while benefiting from season passes, rentals, and meal cards in recognition of their support.
The L'NU program aims to not only provide youth the opportunity to learn a winter based sport/activity but also encourages and supports participants to pursue avenues in coaching, instruction courses, and involvement in competition and skills.
