Public Health COVID-19 Notice to School Community December 22, 2021

Dear Parent/Guardian/Staff,

Public Health is investigating a COVID-19 exposure at Millbrook Early Education Centre that occurred on December 14 and/or 15. We are working with the early education centre to make sure all steps are taken to protect students and staff.

Public Health will identify and send a separate letter to anyone who may have been exposed as a close contact. This will be sent through the early education centre.

Public Health recommends that everyone in the early education centre community carefully watch for COVID-19 symptoms. If symptoms develop, please stay home and complete the online assessment at https://covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/en or call 811 if you don’t have access to the internet.

Symptoms include:

• A new or worsening cough OR two or more of the following:

  • Fever (chills, sweats)

  • Runny nose/nasal congestion

  • Sore throat

  • Headache

  • Shortness of breath (difficulty breathing)
